Well done you!! You must be delighted with yourself. Keep up the good work and I shall follow your example and get myself some new 'fit kit' too, hopefully I'll feel as motivated as you! So you would recommend the Biggest Loser for the wii?

My flight to Majorca is booked for June 10th, exactly 10 weeks from today so the goal is to drop 10 lbs in 10 weeks. The plan is to control calorie intake to 1200-1500 per day, exercise at least every second day and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Current weight 143 lbs and the target is 133 lbs. Wish me luck!!

@o918o9 Thank you sooo much for that fab advice. I really have to work on drinking more water, you'd be shocked to hear the only time I ever drink water is when I exercise and the rest of the time I drink tea (not even herbal or green tea but caffinated black tea with a splash of milk). Working on your calculations I should be drinking at least 2 litres a day. I'm going away with work next week so it'll be more difficult to control calories when staying in a hotel but I'll try to keep everything in moderation. I'm definately going to treat myself to something nice to wear on holiday (better than treating myself to cake) to motivate me. Thanks again.x

The danger with not eating when you're hungry is that when you do allow yourself to eat you'll go mad and can justify pretty much any old rubbish. If I were you I'd have something, fruit or low-fat yoghurt, anything healthy to keep you going. The feast/famine cycle is one I find myself in and after 3 weeks of it I haven't lost one single solitary pound so I'm trying a new approach and hopefully if I fall off the wagon will just chalk it up to a bad day and carry on regardless. Good luck Hun.

I got fitflops last summer, didn't think much of them when just pottering around but wore them when out shopping for a whole day (searching for an outfit for a wedding) and that evening I could really feel it in the back of my thighs, I recommend them. I'm going to get the boot version for next winter.

@AliceLRose
I think you should see a doctor about your sleeping patterns, it will definately be stopping you from having a healthy lifestyle. Rosemary Conley diets have a plan specifically for shift-workers as you need to do things a bit differently if you work nights/sleep days. Good luck.

This is day 1 for me and I'm hoping to be inspired and motivated to get off this stubborn stone. I gave up smoking last year and have consequently eaten like there is no tomorrow, all my clothes are too tight and holiday is booked for June, yikes! I resolved in January to lose weight, nothing happened, ditto Feb and March so now I'm imploring any of you who are successfully losing weight to pass on any words of wisdom to get me motivated. Thanks!

Evenings are my 'danger' time, especially if just watching tv, I get huge cravings for something, anything sweet. A low-cal hot chocolate can help, like Hi-lights or similar, only 40cals and give you a sweet hit without guilt.
