I was in the same boat when I first tried to join the Army. Whenever I am bored, I eat. I just tried to eat regularly, healthy stuff, and without too many calories. And, when I felt board, tried to either go for a walk (even for like just 5 to 10 minutes), or do something else to get distracted. If I felt I MUST consume something, I tried to drink something that had no sugar in it. And, I decided to exercise ( mostly just walk) for more than 30 minutes at least twice a day--no matter what, and no matter what time of day it was. It really worked. I was an overweight kid. I'm now trying to get back into that routine again--and keep it up long term. Good luck to you!!
