i have been going to the gym since january with my man. he got me a cruise for christmas and we're going in may! may 9th, to be exact! soo, i'm not overweight and i don't really have a problem with my body, but you know how girls are, we want to look absolutely PERFECT for beach season (and i can't let all those gorgeous caribbean babes show me up! ;] ) so i'm trying my hardest to get rid of the adorable muffin top i'm sportin' and to get a tight little butt that i can flaunt for my hunny and feel real good about! i'm trying my hardest to keep up on the protein and keep the fat calories waaay down... which is kinda hard, i work at starbucks and their drinks aren't exactly that great for you... the good ones aren't, anyways ;] soo, if anybody's got suggestions, i'm open, if anybody has advice, i'm workin on a two month time frame and advice is ALWAYS welcome. and support is what i thrive on, so lotsa love is welcome! i'm 5'7'', 140 lbs on avg, and i'm hoping that maybe a loss of ten lbs will be what i'm looking for? i dunno, i'm more concerned about feelin' good and lookin' better :] so yeah! thankie thankies!

Hey! i'm 5ft7 too and used to weigh about that, but i have quite a small frame so it was a bit of an unhealthy weight for me. I started going to the gym and eating really healthy, nourishing foods and i'm at my perfect weight of 8st5lbs now and i'm finding it really easy to maintain, plus i feel great all the time. I think 10lbs seems about right, be careful and make sure you don't get carried away though, or you might end up being too skinny :/
Hope you have an AMAZING holiday and i'm sure you'll look great :D xx

@bethieute a stone is 14lbs.. so i'm about 117lbs
and you would be 10st.. which still gives you a healthy BMI, but if you would feel happier a bit lighter then go for it :) especially cos your cruise is coming up soon :D have fun! xxx

@clarabelleclara
i started going to the gym with my boyfriend, who has been wrestling and doing the gym thang pretty much since he could participate in sports. that happened to me, and he said that when you start working out like that, your body goes into a kind of shock and keeps calories cuz it's not sure what's going on? something like that. but just don't give up. these things take time. :) good luck to you!
