@fatbitch, would you consider what you're looking for a note? We've considered the idea of being able to add notes to entries. Also, there's been a lot of requests to support emotes to go along with diary entries such as :) :| :( as a for instance. Expand on what you're looking for and we'll build it! Thanks for using TWYE.

@alexressi on the subject of feedback, maybe you've considered this already, but i think it would really help to have an option on the diary where you could enter fat content as well as calorie content, as this is also something people want to keep an eye on when changing their eating habits. cheers :)

@alexressi I like the idea of having emotes and notes for meals. For example, I could put a note in such as "felt really crappy afterward" after an entry of pizza.

@alexressi I can imagine what you might be worried about is the whole diary process becoming too complicated and putting people off who just want to keep track of food, because the pitch of TWYE is being the simplest food diary out there. So my feedback would be to incorporate all the ideas mentioned above (emotes, notes, fat tracker) with options to enable or disable each one separately (for instance I would only opt in for notes). Sorry if that sounds really obvious, I don't doubt you've already thought this through, just throwing it out there :)

Thanks for the suggestions @eat_tothebeat, @nightshiftnurse and @fdwox! Keeping TWYE simple while continually improving the service is a challenge! That's probably why things have rolled-out rather slowly on TWYE. It's a balancing act between simplicity and functionality.
Features like notes, emotes and a more robust nutrition tracker might be opt-in components that users can choose to add to the base experience. I'm considering a credit system where you get one free credit to choose an add-on component such as notes and can purchase additional credits to "buy" functional modules. I'd love feedback on that approach.

@alexressi maybe there could be an additional tab within the 'my diary' one. It could function similarly to the current food diary as in allow us to post entries on a daily basis, but just be in a note format. People who don't want to utilise the notes section can just ignore that tab and continue entering their food intake as usual. It wouldn't need to interfere with that- thereby keeping with the simplicity theme. Also I think its great how interactive and flexible you guys are.
