try eggs, or a piece of toast w/peanut butter. I like to eat something so I don't feel like I'm going to pass out, but I can't too much or I can't run with all food rolling around in my belly.

If you're working out not long after waking up, have a banana you'll be fine. If a few hours after have porridge or eggs and one slice of wholemeal bread. Some people take banana's in when working out just incase and not ruin their workouts the have a banana to keep going.

if your doing more than 30minutes of cardio vascular excercise you should eat something, preferably something like banana eggs porridge etc, as mentioned above. complex carb idea as slow release energy to help u work as hard as possible in the gym. i usually have a small bowl of porridge with berries before a big gym session, then a bigger bowl again ( i add a protein shake but i do over 2hrs of cardio a day) after my gym session. its really important you eat within 45mins ideally of finishing your excercise. this is to refuel your body so it can do the weight loss work!!!! if i feel really bloated in the morn (which i sometimes do if ive had a silly binge evening the night before) and i cant stomach porridge, i have a cereal bar and a banana. what time of day you gym also comes into this, as if you train later in the day and youve eaten plenty and mix of carbs and protein, just a banana is def enough to train on. but you should still eat after no matter what. xx

<br>i personally don't eat before i go to the gym - but that won't be suitable for everybody because, as you've said, lots of people have no energy before theyve eaten. its definetely best to have something like a banana or fruit or something nice and light but full of good energy. As said above always eat afterwards, your body will be HUNGRYY!!! feed it, for doing a good job =p. Good Luck :) xxx
