Oh i totally agree with the second part of that!! I have become obessed with everything I eat. I'm thinking of taking a break because I'm thinking I've become too obsessed and not focusing on just eating healthy.

Oh its not emotional eating, its studying eating. I've got the same thing!!! The only thing i found that helps is to leave the house. I don't want to, but if I feel like my eating is out of control I go to the library to study and make myself stay there for a certain number of hours. There you can only eat the food you bring. (Don't bring money either in case of vending machines!!)

I like to use the gov't website:
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
I like it because I know I can trust it. And you can type in any amount, no calculations needed. If you are new to this I recommend buying a small food scale, it makes it so much easier to tell how much you ate of things like meat and fruits. Good Luck!

@shuangzhang1015 I think that's a good idea! I think we should all aim to consume more calories early in the day.

I think you should allow yourself to consume a sweet each day. The trick is to have something small. I buy Hershey's miniatures or dove chocolates and just the small amount will help my cravings. If you look at my food diary you'll see I eat a lot of sweets too, but I always count it in my total cals and don't give up!!!

Today i've tried to edit the time on some of my diary entries and it's not working. This happened at home & at work so I know its not my computer or the connection.

Just wanted to share that I got a small food scale and have been using it a few days. It is awesome!!! I encourage getting one for anyone who wants to take this seriously. Mine cost about $25 (U.S.) and works great!

It doesn't matter how skinny you are, it is important to feel healthy and confident with your body. This website has been a great tool for me to see how much i'm eating, be aware of high calorie foods, and to know when i've had enough. My only caution is don't try to cut calories too much or you'll be unsuccessful. Try to work out to burn 250 cals a day and eat 250 cals less than you need. That'll put you down 500cals a day which helps you lose a pound a week, the optimum rate for weight loss! Good luck!

@tumbledrylow this is a perfect idea! also have a chart where you can see your goal and your total cals for each day!

I don't know how to fix a beer craving but I drink Barcardi Limon with water (like a mixed drink). It tastes like lemon water and only has the calories of the Bacardi (for those of us who don't like diet soda).

I want to recommend a great website (one that can be trusted) for finding the calorie and other nutrition info for many, many different foods.

One thing I do to try to improve my eating on weekends is to investigate the websites of restaurants etc before I go out. For example, McDonald's website is awesome and you can customize food, like a mcchicken sandwich, no mayonnaise and the site will tell you exactly your nutrition info. So if I am going to eat fast food I choose McDonald's simply so I can make better choices. Sheetz also has a build-your-own nutrition facts.
At restaurants I look at the menu online and really think about which meal would appeal most to me AND be healthier. Then you have to just not look at the menu when you get there (or the bad stuff may be too tempting).

TWYE is one of the slowest websites I use. I dont know much about this sort of thing, but maybe the increase in traffic means it needs a larger server?

Iron can cause constipation. The best way to prevent it is to drink plenty of fluids. However, anemia makes you tired, so if you are anemic you are less likely to be active, which is much worse for your health. My advice is to take the iron and pay attention to how much you are drinking.

Congratulations! As a caution, optimum weight loss is 1lb per week. Losing 3lbs in a week makes you at higher risk for putting the weight back on.

Bingeing is more likely if your body is telling you it's starving. When I look at your meal plan (cereal, veg soup, dinner) it is very unbalanced. I recommend eating higher calorie breakfasts and lunches so that your body doesnt feel starving by dinner time. Eat eggs or something with protein for breakfast. Same for lunch. Low cal protein with every meal!!

@Devatree3107 I def think that shorter high intensity cardio is better. I've seen articles that support the idea too. plus you're more likely to stick with it because it doesn't take so long. Try 20 min
