ill make myself a big prawn salad, with avocadoes, tomatoes, king prawns and a scrummy sauce made with keychup, mayonnaise and salad cream. it really fills you up and the sauce is nice and rich! hope this helps! oh and also try grapes!

@tillpotsy Thanks for the tip...
However, ice cream, pizza, chocolate and such do have the advantage over that in immediacy. That is, one phone call or a trip to the shop next door is all that's needed to obtain these calorie fuelled antidepressants. Prawns and avocado require an hour round trip to town, and that assumes that the shops are still open!

popcorn is lower calorie and fat than crisps.... try a big bag and will fill u up alot so u wil struggle to binge thru more than 2 big bags- even i do and im a serial binger!! can get swet or savory depending what ucrave when binging! also sweetened porridge is fast easy and also makes ur belly feel so full ur gonna pop, so as much as u make u still wont overload on calories! also frozen yoghurt over icecream, or look up 'skinny ewe' icecream, ridiculously low cal and v yummy, some health shops stock it, i buy about 4 tubs in and keep them in for the binge attacks!

@kingofderby My potato crisp substitute is cucumber salad. It gives me the salty and crunchy sensation, is lower in sodium, and it's only 50 calories, for a HUGE bowl. Super easy to make as well, here is the recipe:

2 cucumbers
2 TBSP lite italian dressing
2 TBSP white vinegar
2 tsp dill

Peel and slice cucumbers, toss with dressing, dill and vinegar.

You can adjust the quantity of dressing for your personal taste. I like mine to be swimming in dressing.

@cadburyaddict11 Actually, I really don't like crisps or popcorn!

I can get Skinny Cow icecream at the supermarket in town, but I can't stock up on it. Partly because there is no space in the the shared freezer and partly because I am incapable of leaving icecream alone. If I have icecream available, it WILL be eaten, no matter how much I have!

The porridge idea is a good one though.

As said above, I don't like crisps.

As for chomping down loads of salad, sorry but I can't do that! Especially when I'm down. I need sauce and things to chew on, not sweet and crunchy things!
