Make a list and eat before you go! If you're not hungry when you're shopping, you'll be more likely to stick to the list you made without seeing some sweet junk food and impulsively putting it in the cart.

@glitzytinks69 Yes! The pool is nice and I work at one so I guess I'm pretty lucky that I can swim whenever I want :) I am starting to get hungry and since I'm logging my food, the only thing keeping me from eating is not wanting to write it down and see the calories add up. I ditched the gym hahaha (see my problem?) but am hopefully going to take my dog on a walk after I get home tonight. I'm from Southern California. What about you?

I know all too well about eating when feeling depressed and actually bought a bunch of slim fast to kick off my diet. However, I think you should follow the plan and have a meal instead of skipping or having another shake. You will need the solid food and it's going to keep your body getting the nutrients it needs - even if you don't have a 500 calorie meal, still eat something with lots of protein and veggies. Your body will feel malnourished and end up keeping the weight and fat because it feels like it's being deprived which means its going to store the fat as energy because it doesn't know if/when you're going to feed it again. By having that meal, you are keeping your metabolism working without shocking your body. It definitely works - a girl at my work has lost over 10 lbs in a week or two on the slim fast diet so try not to modify it! Spend some extra time at the gym in addition to following the plan and you'll have the weight off in no time :) Good luck!

@glitzytinks69 Hey! I'm having a pretty good day thanks :) You?
And 40 lbs is a great goal! I am thinking about heading to the gym real quick before work. I always try to talk myself out of it because I walk in and feel like I have no idea what to do. Do you have that problem too??

I am starting AGAIN to try and lose weight. I lose 20 lbs here and there but now I need to be serious and think long-term here because I've reached my all-time high. I like to make exceptions and think "Oh, just one won't hurt" but one turns into at least 4 almost every time. Anyone else on here have about 60 lbs to lose and want to do this with me? I need some motivation!!
