Hey guys,
Are you drinking 2-3ltres of water each day? I've been making sure I drink at least 2 litres every day for the last month and I feel great! Aside from having 10 trips to the bathroom every day, my skin has cleared up, I'm less hungry, have more energy and have lost about 4 kilos! Start your daily water consumption by having 600ml with your breakfast (get rid of that milk, juice or tea/coffee with loads of sugar), and you're on your way for the day! Make sure you drink extra if you're exercising. I guarantee you'll see results!

sounds like you might need some psychological help with that one if you can't recall doing it.. only other option I can think of put a lock on the fridge and make readily available a light fruit snack that you can grab ??

@knitkids999 Have you ever thought about eating your dinner on a smaller plate? Take one serving, don't finish anyone's food and don't go back for seconds; remember your plate should consist of majority vegetables/salad, 1 serving of lean protein (palm size) and a small amount of carbs!

To all the Aussies out there, have you ever considered giving Kangaroo meat a go? Aside from being the most environmentally-friendly meat going around, it has many nutritional benefits - compare it to your average Beef steak (lean, fillet):

Kangaroo v Beef (150g raw)
Calories: 149 v 267
Fat: 2g v 8.3g
Saturated Fat: 0.6g v 3g
Cholesterol: 75mg v 105mg

A lean steak will have more protein (48g compared to 32.1g for Kangaroo meat) - but increase your Kangaroo steak to 225g and you'll get the same amount of protein, and still less calories, fat and saturated fat (plus more to eat too!). Next time you're going for red meat - try Kangaroo meat, it's great for the body and easy on the hips.

Hi guys, for those of you who are still struggling to lose weight, have you heard of the King/Prince/Pauper method? You might be eating 1200 calories a day, but what times are you taking in the calories? This can make a difference to your weight loss. The method is simple - eat like a King at breakfast (high calorie intake); a Prince at lunch (medium calorie intake) and a Pauper at dinner (low calories). Plan your meals so you don't end up gorging on a high-calorie dinner at the end of the day which is followed by sitting on the couch/sleeping. It also ensures you have a large breakfast which provides energy throughout the day - mix it up with different fruits/porridge/eggs/multi-grain toast/porridge/yoghurt etc. Good luck!

You should eat smaller meals more often, which are low GI - stick to non-starchy whole foods (natural foods) which will keep you feeling fuller for longer as well. And don't forget to drink 2-3 litres of water a day too, especially with meals as this helps to fill you up as well as having lots of other benefits. To lose weight you need to be burning more calories than you eat - start off with your BMR (you can calculate on the internet) - this is the amount of calories you would burn each day just by lying in bed. Then ensure you are eating less calories than this/burning off calories through working out, and you will definitely lose weight!

Hey, anyone living in Australia, last week I bought the book by Michelle Bridges (The Biggest Loser trainer) called "Crunch Time". It's *really* good. Goes over all the psychology of weight loss, a whole range of exercises to do and then a huge section on food. I really recommend it for anyone serious about losing weight and getting into shape. And best of all we can use TWYE to count the calories for us!! It's like 25 bucks from Kmart, AND she also has a small book (about 10 dollars I think) with basically every food you can think of and how many calories they are which is very reliable. So if you're serious about your weight loss, give it a go, I did and I feel I'm well on my way to losing some flab!! Also I have nothing to do with Michelle Bridges (I wish she was my trainer lol), this is just from an ordinary girl trying to help others... good luck guys!! Think positive

If your body feels like it's craving sugar you might also be dehydrated, so drink a big glass of water and then re-think whether you still want that chocolate! Also, don't think of it as a diet, think of it as you're eating healthier now and are going to feel better, live longer and best of all have a healthy glow! Embrace it!

@jenhoges thanks! You can either look them up online, just type in "calories" - caloriecount is a good website, there are lots out there! Some things are just an estimation like home-made food. Most food has how many Kj on the back - there are 4.18 Kilojoules in 1 calorie. Otherwise - go to "Settings" and Activate your "CrowdCal". When you enter things into the box, it will come up with a list of similar things other people have eaten, and can fill in the calories automatically from their guesses. I try and find out myself first though because some are inaccurate. Good luck, stick with it, you can do it :-)

Are you the person who is 5'9?? Eating 500 calories a day is dangerous, it's far too low. You will not be healthy if you starve yourself down to 100lbs and are 5'9... please be careful.

well you needed to put on weight, you were underweight at 110 pounds for your height! Even at 140 pounds, you are still far from overweight, you are right in the middle of the healthy weight range for BMI. Your weight is healthier now than it was before. Having said that if you want to lose a few pounds, keeping a diary on twye really helps keep track if you stick to it. But don't go down to 110! Going under could be really detrimental to your health.

two other tips as well... 1) now i use a dessert plate for my dinner instead of a dinner plate which i find really helps! You eat the whole plate, *slowly* and find that it's been plenty of food when it really is so much less than usual (portion distortion...)

2) Apparently whenever the Japanese sit down to eat they say, "Only eat until you are 70 percent full". Don't keep eating until you are full and bloated. You might find that you aren't completely full, but you just haven't had time to process it yet!
