RIGHT! This is it! I'm getting back on the wagon. Every few months I say it and then after a day or 2 I give on up TWYE and dieting in general. I've got about 2 months until I go back to uni and I want to drop at least 1 jean size by then. Doable right? I'm living with my boyfriend for the summer in a city where none of my friends live so sometimes I don't find the motivation to go to classes or the gym alone but I just have to step it up!
I'm currently visiting my parents so I'm going to have to stock up on healthy snacks for the 8ish hour journey back home. Wish me luck :) x

Do you really have to give it up? You could try using a lower calorie milk and reducing your portion sizes, you don't need to deny yourself :)

You could try something like a low fat hot chocolate to try and satisfy your cravings. It fills you up and gives you a chocolate fix :)

That's where I catch myself out too! You could try making plans for after dinner, something that doesn't involve food like the gym, or a walk, or even just spending time with friends. It takes your mind off it. Hope that helps :) x

BMR doesn't affect your calorie intake, if you're meaning for you food calorie count. The calorie intake would be the same whether you are 100lbs or 300lbs. It makes a difference in output though, so when you're at the gym you might be able to put your weight/height into the machine so it gives you more accurate calories burned. Hope that helps :)

Thanks guys, I did made a list yesterday and ended up making healthy choices for meals, not just snacks (except when my boyfriend sneaked some haribo in the trolley). The night before I went, I planned what I would eat this week then went onto sainsbury's online and put the items I needed into my online basket to see how much it would come to :)

I've been living off cereal and skimmed milk for the past day and a half. Which is good I suppose for dieting (I'm eating fewer calories than usual) but it's getting a bit tedious. No I'm not on the special K diet, I just have no money for food :( My fault really, I overspent my weekly budget and now don't get money until Thursday. I'm trying to decide when to suck it up and ask my parents for money, which I feel terrible about since I've done it almost every week this month. I'm worried that if they do give me money, I'll go and buy absolute junk from the supermarket and blow my dieting. Any tips on how to keep from splurging on crap when shopping? Hope you guys are having a good day. xx

Right getting back on the healthy eating wagon. I've got uni exams coming up so I've got to find the balance between stress eating and the other problem of being too busy to go out and buy food. I've gone up a couple of lbs since January so time to get things going for summer. Wish me luck everyone, I hope you're all having a good day!

You could try making something that's healthy but tasty or just make yourself smaller portions of the same thing he's eating. My boyfriend is kind of the same so when he visited last I made a healthy vegetable pie which was only 200kcals for half of it (feel free to ask for the recipe) and it was really delicious. Get creative :)

Sometimes if the cravings get REALLY bad, I gulp down 2 pints of water (or sugar free orange squash) and it instantly fills up my stomach and I feel a bit bleugh and don't want to eat. Chewing gum is good too :)

It's not really a case of it will help you lose weight, but you should eat every 3 hours, even if it's something tiny (like a couple of strawberries) just to keep your metabolism up. Hope that helps :)

So I had a terrible last day or so. I went to Newcastle with my boyfriend who had a job interview and we ended up getting loads of junk food in the hotel room. But now I'm back in Scotland and I've stocked my fridge with healthy healthy foods. Fall off the horse, get back on I guess :)

Sorry to hear that, break ups are always hard but you can use this as motivation. You can work even harder to show him/her what they're missing out on. All the best to you and hope you're doing ok.

Yesterday was pretty good diet day. I went out of my mind when I couldn't get the low cal crackers I was craving all evening though. I went to the campus shop (I live on a university campus) but it was shut and I couldn't be bothered going all the way into town, so frustrated since I didn't have any other snacks in. At midnight I ended up eating crisps from the vending machine after a major crying session when I realised that some of the symptoms I've been getting are related to a serious disease and now I've got to wait until Monday to get a doctor's appointment to rule it out. It's probably nothing but I'm terrified none-the-less. Hopefully I'll keep the diet going today though.

Dieting is so difficult when you're ill, I totally emphasise. Don't worry too much about the take away, everyone has bad days and just as long as they don't happen too often you'll still get the weight loss you want. When you fall off the horse, get back on again :)

Does anyone know which is the lowest calorie alcohol? I read somewhere that it's vodka (mixed with something low cal of course). I'm living in student halls and there's going to be lots of drinking when everyone comes back for the new semester in a few weeks so I'm dreading the calorie count afterwards.

I was fine until I started drinking last night, bad times. Although beforehand I managed to refuse a bar of chocolate, I was soooo proud :D Back on the wagon today though. How about you?

I do the same. The evening is my downfall. Cleaning is a good way to distract yourself, I find organising my food cupboards strangely is good as it helps me think about it. Or you could try drinking 2 pints of water in a row which instantly fills you up, making you feel less hungry :)
