Not eating all day is the worst no wonder you feel like you put on weight as soon as you eat! You need to have something at least to kick start your metabolism, like a banana or a piece of fruit if you want low cal. You really need to love food and love yourself it will help you a lot have you ever tried accupuncture? xxxx

Cannt belive the amount I have eaten. It's been my bday, brothers bday and parents wedding aniversary all in one week. I have been out to dinner four times this week and go out drinking/clubbing 4 times also! Rediculous! I have also had so much food, cakes, crisps, drunken mcdonalds the list goes on! It's so annoying I think it's good to let yourself go and in crap one day once in a while but not a whole week!!! aahahahha the love handles are growing I can feel it! I am going out to dinner tonight as well and will need to have some cake as it's other friends and tehy will bring me one i can't say no to my own cake it would be rude! I am also going out for cocktails friday and dinner sat so it will be a two weeks of alcohol and LOADS of food, not good! I can't exercise either because of my knee op, next week I will! So annoying! ahhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow do you work or at uni?
You need to make yourself get up earlier, I had this (not to that extreme) for a while which is not like me at all because I am an early bird. The only way was to make mum to MAKE me get up or have a reason to get up.
I think eating at the time you do won' t help with weightloss and maybe if you are going to eat that late stick to soups, salad more light foods rather than stodgy heavy foods.

Good luck

Birthdays!
I hate birthdays and celebrations, this week i've been out to dinner 4 times and although I have chosen low cal options i've still drank a lot of alcohol and gone over 2400 calories everytime! I don't know what to do I don't want to be boring and not go and not drink but it's a killer. I have 3 more events next week and scared i'm going to put on weight! I am doing no exercise due to a knee operation so these events have not landed on the best time!!!!
ahhhhh why can we all not be naturally thin??? IT'S NOT FAIR!

@ I agree too. I feel the same. I do think some people don't realise the importance of the nutrience in foods. Chocolate is yummy why would you give it up!

eat more often! Every 3 hours to 4 hours, healthy snacks between meals. Fruit, veg, fibre, good fats, do it you'll feel amazing. If you drink a lot of caffeine try to cut it down to once a day and drink lots of water. Try 2 lts a day! You'll feel amazing. Have one day off a week to let yourself go, I feel sundays the best day have that pudding in that you've wanted for ages as you've been good all week you can have it :-) what a nice thought.
Good luck

@MonroeChanelS Sounds like you're used to it! Maybe your body only needs that amount, everyones different. WIth me if I don't eat at certain times I feel faint that's why food and the time of food is so important to me.
From eating every hour your metabolism is sky high ah ha that's good and the other days are days off it doesnt' matter just as long as most days you are eating regulary.
Just see how you feel, calories are not as important as the nutrision of the food, if you are eating good fats, protien, fruit, veg and fibre you are doing it right. If you want to lose 2kg maybe workout another hour a week, spread it out i'm sure you'll lose it soon enough!

Hey everyone!
I'd just like to say I love this site and finding it so interesting.

One thing i've noticed is people count calories but don't look at the nutrition.
For example a carrot is about 30 calories so is a low calorie hot chocolate which are yummy but still has sugar etc in. Therefore having 3 carrots and 3 hotchocolates everyday you will be sure to lose weight having carrots not the hot chocolate.

It is something that gets to me and wants people to understand, one of my best friends doesn't get this at all! She has a large bag of kettle chips at 4pm as she hasn't eaten all day, then comes over for tea and a few brownies and then has a large meal with her family at 9pm!
She is over weight and this is the reason and when I explain she doesn't understand, she thinks as long as she sticks to 1200 calories a day she will lose weight regardless the time she eats and what.

I think it's important to remember our health as well as wanting to lose weight. Chemicals in foods can cause so many illness' and I just want everyone to be aware of this.
I am not a "health freak" but I do feel that everyone needs to be aware what is it sugar free and fat free foods, rather than just op for the healthy option and have naughty days once a week for those things.

Sorry if this is long! ha
But hope we everyone is enjoying tweet because I love it!!!

Yeah your body is used to it. Maybe have healthy snacks like an apple or banana which will keep your going faster and you'll probably lose weight.
Do you want to lose weight?
It sounds like you do exercise, sit around doing uni work and think if you ate every 3/4 hours i'd def put on weight?? (that's what I was like) but you won't if it's small snacks (under 100 calories) just try to up your calorie intake but spreading more snacks like fruit, protein, veg and nuts throughout the day I think you'd lose weight. It's hard at uni because of the money situation, you can't afford to buy loads of fresh healthy foods.

300 calories is nothing. Do you drink? The thing is after uni when you go out of uni your body will be so unhealthy for only having 300 calories a day. Maybe just add stuff in slowly.

Good luck sorry this is long!

@goldenBri After the diet would you not put all the weight back on because you don't eat for days and then eat normally? That happened to 3 of my friends, just from mouths operations, uni stress and boy friend breakups. As soon as they started eating again they put on weight and more than before.

good luck tho it must be great to cleanse your body like that, maybe allow yourself only fruit or veg. The raw diets meant to be amazing.

@scornfulpen I eat little and often, after my dinner I never snack as i've got a low sugar diet and have got used to not having them. I find after dinner if I have a decaf coffee/tea with sugar in it satisfies me. I don't really eat bad things at all it's just I have pcos and it's hard for me to lose weight so I have to do a very low sugar and high protein diet rather than a calorie controlled diet. Which SUCKS!

It could be to do with what you're eating? If you are eating a low calorie diet but with a lot of sugar you will most definately put on weight. Be careful of what you are eating as healthy less sugary foods will help you lose weight a lot faster. For example a friend of mine had a banana for breakfast and didn't eat all day and then had a LARGE bag of pc n mix at the cinema she is twice the size of me (i'm size 12) and i had breakfast - porridge, lunch - tuna salad, and dinner - chicken, rice and veg. At the cinema I had a small sweet popcorn. So I may have had more calories than her but her bag of sweets was a lot worse and fattening and fulll of sugar than my whole daily amount. Sorry this is long!!!!
Good luck, try to make eating habits a lifestyle change rather than a diet.

I feel the same, I'm not meant to have any sugar at all to do with insulin levels and also I am intolorent to sugar! So I feel sooo guilty too but I know the more sugar I have the more weight I put on. I just wish I could have it sometimes and not feel bad I know exactly what you mean!
