chat roooooooom!!!!!!! and emotional sections to blogs wo WHY u ate what u ate. then u can see the percentages of when u eat out of social stuff, hunger, boredom or other reasons etc. x

I've been tweeting what i eat for 3 days and i am using it to track exactely what i am eating. It helps being able to update from my mobile as with other food diaries i have found that i have missed things off because i have forgotten then by then time i get home. My ultimate goal in using this is to conquer my emotional eating and bingeing. One thing that would help me would be a comments box for eat entry as then i can write down how i am feeling at the time as well. However i love how simple it is now and it's easy to manage.

Definitely endorse cadburyaddict11 and catasintiger's suggestions! As for "not looking like someone who struggles with this stuff" - I don't think the sole reason people keep food diaries is being overweight. My BMI is 20 but I want to stop emotional eating and make sure I eat healthily (and less importantly ward off getting a muffin top!). I'm not particularly interested in weightloss. x

LOVE your idea cadburyaddict11! and to the right side (like w the 'do not eat' list) there should be the box to put percentages so like you say we can easily see..

<br><br>although the layouts great as it is, i guess if you wanted to update that it could be done in an 'apple' kinda way. yknow the way they make itunes etc look so modern? i love that look (but pls keep the system simple as it is!). i agree w a chat room. but there should also be a link were we can go to add people onto our twitter pages to talk about this stuff too. like a list of our names w our photo then maybe under 10 words next to it to describe ourselves?

@missstatistic i used to be a model ( fitness, swimwear & lingerie mostly) so i know how to keep in shape yes... BUT that doesnt mean i dont find it just as tough as everyone else! i am in good shape but if i dont keep track what i eat, i soon gain weight and even though im now re trained as a therapist, i stil lcare alot about how my figure looks. that photo was taken last yr and am currently back down to that exact shape atm. but i fluctuate monthly! (weakness for sweet stuff/ used to suffer from bulemio and over eating issues) as for the ideas, i did suggest while bk to the other person in charge, about having an extra section along with food,calories, date etc... saying WHY u ate it. because i find it really useful to look at how many times im eating out of boredom, sadness, social stuff or cos im actually hungry etc.

@cadburyaddict11 It is a great idea and obviously others feel the same way. I thought maybe you were a therapist or coach since you seem to have great comments that help others on here. Usually therapists won't reveal much about themselves, though (my husband is a therapist) so I am glad that you are willing to. With weight loss/ food issues I think it helps. I am a coach myself. If you want to email me directly, there is a place on the right of the Forum screen since I am an administrator. I would love to talk with you more about your ideas. The site has some natural SuperUsers and we would like to capitalize on your input if possible.

It'd be nice to have a spot on my diary to show my ideal caloric intake. "Goal: 1600 Calories" Then I can compare that to my running total--maybe even have an equation built in to tell me what my allowance is for the rest of the day. Easy!

ALSO--- it's be cool if there was a feedback system built into the website. If the total number of calories consumed is within 500 of our goal, could the website shoot us back an text letting us know we have 500 left for the day? That way we're not dependent on checking the internet.

Maybe extra tabs for daily activity and as Cadburyaddict said, a why you ate it option - this could simply be emoticons or a comment box though I think emoticons would be great especially if you could filter them to see if certain times of the month are better or worse etc.
<br><br>Also, I think the daily activity tab would be great for keeping track of exercise. I don't like to put mine in my diary with minus cals as these can't be exact. It'd also be great to see what exercise I am getting every day, ensuring I get enough =o)

Agree with @cdaug009, would be very good to be able to state intended intake of calories and have twye keep track of how many we have left for the day. As I currently work that out myself in my head, it becomes an obsession, whereas if twye did it, I could just forget about it and get on with more important activities!

I agree with above also about chat room or even better, a forum which'll allow people to add threads for all kindsa stuff. It'll allow people to provide support and get useful tips. It'd also be good to be able to search for particular threads/posts as I have read some interesting posts I'd like to have gone back to but can't find them again on here.
<br>It would be great to be able to search by keywords simply as I find the search here can be limited. =o)

I would like more calories in foods and drinks provided for us. I can read the box from the foods I buy at the grocery store, but for fruits and veggies. Even if you teamed up with some chain resteraunts that would happlily provide calorie amounts for you.

@missstatistic bit of both, I wanna slim down abit, mainly get rid of teh muffin top lol I've gotten so lazy since I learned to drive, I used to have to walk quite abit to and from work which kept me slim and healthy =)

@BabyKtee lol! if you don't mind my asking, how old are you? BTW, crunches are a great way to work on the muffin top. Have to admit I am lazy about those myself... Also I find that carbs tend to plant themselves in my abdominal area, more than any other food!

@missstatistic lol I'm 23 but look like I'm 15 haha Yeah I've cut out bread again cos that can make me hella bloated but I'm okay with pasta =) I'm also trying to cut back on the junk food, where I work, there are like 4 fastfood places plus chipshops within about 15 minute walking distance!! I passed my test in 2008 when I was like 7.9 n now I'm fluctuating around 8 - 8.3, I doubt I'll get to 7.9 but the extra pounds make me sooo uncomfortable tho they're going down =) Oh and I'm like 5ft2 I feel it looks uneven.

instead of flipping through pages of food entries to see how i did during the past week, could we have old entries consolidated as a calorie count. and maybe if we clicked on "2/24: 1775 Calories" then we could see the list of food.

How about a fitness tab. To enter in stuff like "d twye jog 1 mile @6:20 minutes, d twye aerobics 30 mins, etc. I think seeing a log of fitness keeps me motivated to continue.<br><br>Thanks for asking<br>

i would like a little coloumn that says monday-friday and how many calories i ate on every day. Maybe we could also add an aim of cals for the day, and then when we go over it, it could come up +400, and when we are still under -200 so we know exaclty how many calories we have left to eat for that day!

the single most beneficial addition twye could make is to link to a calorie database...that seems to be the most frequently asked questions of new tweaters: how do i get the accurate calorie count for the food i eat?
<br><br>i started using twye in april and lost over 30 lbs. by october, only by writing down what i ate, with an accounting of calories based on portion size...in other words, i tried to be really accurate about how much i ate to be sure i was correct in the calorie calculations...i continue to use twye to maintain my weight loss and so far it's been really helping
<br><br>i agree w/ you totally that knowing that you are going to be logging what you eat makes you really think before you stuff it in your mouth!!

I am on here because I want to lose weight like most of us. I love it, it helps me see exactly what i'm eating! I love the chat room idea!!!!! I think it's perfect when you feel like eating or have over eating talking to someone who understands and even slim or bigger they have the same feeling of guilt or annoyance. I also think it would be good if you could see when someone replys on the post you put up. I thinks it's a great site and with some finishing touches it would be AMAZING!
