What's up everybody? I just wanted to say I've lost 54 lbs since Dec 18, 2010. TWYE has been very useful in turning my life around. It was tough at first, but now it's just normal to count my calories. I'm looking for others who are also excited about getting in shape.

Hey, does anybody know any super simple low calorie recipes? I eat everything so I'm fine with whatever! Just need some ideas so I don't end up cooking up carrots and broccoli every day to cut back!

under "user stats" the default stats listed are not very useful. i suggest adding some features like "average daily calories consumed" or a dynamic way to crunch calorie data you are storing. as a woman, i'd also like to know if i eat more calories when i'm PMS'ing, etc.. it'd be good to also add a "goals" feature where you can incent people to lower their avg calorie intake, etc.. there's a LOT more you can do with this tool that I think people would be eager to make use of.

Hi, I'd like to use @twye instead of "d twye" so that my meals are shown with pictures in my public stream. I can get stuff into my meal log using the #twye hashtag, but it strips the picture.

It's a busy day and we have company coming so what I'm going to do is bulk enter the food I will be eating and then try and stick to it... including any drinks I will be having.

If there are any adjustments (and I hope there won't be), I'll do it in the morning.

Fingers crossed.

Hello,

I have been trying to use the mobile TWYE on my iPad, and if my browser cache is clear, it seems I get the mobile site which is great. The only problem is I can't edit entries or mark a day as complete.

So, I then click on the "full version" link to get off of the mobile site and I do what I need.

How do I force my browser to go back to the mobile version? I would love to have a link at the bottom of the page that allows it.

Thanks!

I've managed to steadily gain weight for the past 7 months under the influence of luuurve. Super ready to get back into healthy living and non-boyfriend-type foods and think this may be a fun way to get help! Add me, you all seem nice :)

I am not a nutritionist. I am reflecting on what I have read and observed among people. There is information available re intake, stamina, etc. This can vary by metabolism, food consumed and activity level. Most especially, certain foods can produce grogginess and large quantity put a load on the body. Many successfully, medically supervised weight reduction programs advocate specific types of food in small amounts through the day to support steady nutrition and reduced calorie/fat intake. It is possible to lose weight, feel energized and also be deprived. The body has many mechanisms to prevent short term failure, but you draw on reserves which can lead to long term or delayed problems. Some experts are saying that what you eat now impacts three generations.
There is information about some body types requiring less food and less meals.
The key is to know your body and monitor your health.
Sometimes it seems like all or nothing, too many choices certainly makes it harder to make good choices.
Good luck to all.

I had promised to TWYE my meals while I was away and only did a few times. There were intermittent internet availability where I was at and the days I did manage to connect I bulk entered everything for the day.

Now that I'm back, I will return to my routine with TWYE food and exercise journaling. I can't believe how much I missed TWYE... and the good folks here.

It's good to be back.

Eating vegetables and fruits is a good way to add nutrition to your diet and to help you lose weight. It is recommended that everyone eat 7 to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.

I heard yesterday that the oldest man in the world, who surprisingly lived in the US, recently passed away. One of the secrets to his longevity which he shared in an interview about a year ago was to "eat two meals a day." I thought that was interesting. The human body does prefer to run lean on food, but two meals a day? He didn't mention how big those meals were or whether or not he frequently snacked, but it is an interesting way to live. Anyone shoot for the two meal a day diet?

I'm new to this site, but it looks fab. Actually writing down what I eat may make me think twice about actually eating it. I need lots of encouragement!! I do plenty of exercise, but food is my nemesis!! Add me as a friend and help me along xx
