I took that cup of ice cream at home. 3 hours later I went out and was surrounded by ice cream vans... it was too hard for me to resist and I felt that since I already had ice cream, then I might as well have again!

This is quite a repetitive problem I find! If i take something which I feel guilty for, I feel that I ruined the day... and once the day is ruined nothing counts coz I cant go back to having a perfect day... so I end up over eating all the "bad" things I lay eyes on! Anyone else has this prob?

@rosemarie435 Been there, done that. The whole scenario sounds soooo familiar to me. Overweight most of my adult life. Lost down to decent weight for the weddings of my 3 children, but always put most of it back on. At one point told my self to love myself being 50 pounds overweight and just accept my body. But then something clicked, few biggest loser contests at work (I'm competitive), then found this site (I'm honest, accountable to myself in my postings, and some were very EMBARRASSING, even though I'm sure no one cared or judged). Then all of a sudden it happened. I learned good eating and exercise habits. Still not at the recommended weight for my age and height, but getting close and becoming more confident that I may have finally kicked this battle with the bulge. WHY DIDN'T I DO IT SOONER??? Now I can fit into some of these sexy, cute clothes but have reached the age where they look a little silly on me. Oh welll...that's my story. I AM PROUD OF MYSELF. IT CAN BE DONE. Just STAY POSITIVE. DON"T BEAT YOURSELF UP. JUMP BACK ON THE WAGON. All those cliche's we've heard 100 times. And keep posting, PS I liked your phase "mindful eating". TWYE is great for that.
